Dear Parents/Carers,

If your child's class is closed due to unforeseen circumstances, then we will ensure that we will continue to provide a high quality learning experience at home through Microsoft teams

Your child’s classroom has already been set up and you will need to use the login details that have been sent to you to access the learning on Microsoft Teams through our Learning Hub: https://wja.fierteportal.org/

Learning – Within the ‘Remote Learning’ school day your child will receive three lessons (English, Maths and Topic), which will be uploaded each day, ready for their learning.

Assignments – Children will be sent their learning activity they need to complete each day through Microsoft Teams, with instructions and a link to the class notebook (a resource where children will be able to access teacher videos, teaching resources, stimulus as well as being able to edit and add their learning). They will then complete their learning either by using an online program (word etc), writing on paper then uploading through scanning/photographing, or working on their own class notebook.
You will then submit the completed work through Microsoft Teams, which your teacher can access and give you feedback.

Feedback – Communication with your children and their teacher will be through the feedback area within the assignments section or through the Posts area (children will only be able to message the teacher who can then reply directly to them).

Collaboration – For some lessons children will be directed to a collaborative area on Microsoft Teams. Here they will be able to add their opinions and responses to the lesson which can be accessed by everyone in their year group.

In order to complete the remote learning, you will need:

- Access to a device

- The internet

- Logins for Microsoft Teams.

We know that, for various reasons, some pupils won’t be able to access the remote learning, so please let the school office know as soon as possible and we will provide you with an exact paper version of the remote learning.
